Crime festival is back!
There’s Skulduggery afoot in Stowmarket as the crime fiction festival returns!
Some of the country’s brightest crime fiction writers will be heading to Suffolk for the annual Skulduggery in Stowmarket Crime Fiction Festival.
The event takes place at Stowmarket Library on Saturday 26 April between 9am and 5pm.
Featured authors include Tom Mead (Death and the Conjuror, The Murder Wheel), Sophie Morton-Thomas (Travel by Night), Kate Rhodes (Isles of Scilly mysteries, Alice Quentin series) Barbara Nadel (The Darkest Night) (Inspector Ikmen series – adapted Paramount+ TV The Turkish Detective), Harkim & Arnold private investigator series), Bridget Walsh (The Tumbling Girl, The Innocents), and Alison Bruce (DC Gary Goodhew Mystery series & Ronnie Blake series Because She Looked Away).
Tickets cost £5 for one session or £15 for a whole day ticket. All money raised goes to independent charity Suffolk Libraries to nurture children’s literacy, support vulnerable people and promote wellbeing across Suffolk.
An insider says, "Skulduggery in Stowmarket is a highlight of the year for local crime fiction fans." They plan to bring leading authors to talk about their work in the intimate surroundings of Stowmarket library and you will get a real insight into the work of some favourite writers.
From cosy crime to psychological thrillers, their authors cover the wide range of excellent crime fiction published in the UK, and the talks promise something for everyone.
