About us

"I can't believe it's not a paid for mag!”

Joan Cooper, Woodbridge.

With a passion for eclectic homes and quirky Suffolk stories, Living In … Woodbridge was launched back in 2016, the brainchild of national magazine and newspaper journalist, Angela Hagan. “I wanted to read about all these amazing and unique businesses and creatives who make up our glorious region and couldn’t find anything locally offering those kind of stories,” says Angela, who has written and worked on publications such as the Guardian, the Daily Mirror and OK! magazine. “I kept receiving free mags through the door but they weren’t really reflecting what was happening on our doorstep.”

A business was born!

Nowadays it has blossomed into Living In … Suffolk enjoying a much wider audience reach and a reputation for great content. This popular bi-monthly publication offers unrivalled distribution including a mix of door-to-door delivery as well as in-store availability in many outlets throughout the county. Thanks to those lovely and supportive people at the East of England Co-op and general Co-op branches and oodles more shops including Costcutters, libraries, chippies, hotels, waiting rooms, cafes and restaurants Living In Suffolk is now available to pick up from many places, from Southwold to Sudbury, including Woodbridge, Bury St Edmunds, Saxmundham, Aldeburgh, Leiston, Wickham Market, Fram, Ipswich, Orford and Martlesham. With more than 21,000+ readers in this beautiful part of the world - and many more online - we're really making waves ...

Printed on our trademark matt paper which is fully recyclable (our green credentials mean a lot to us), Living In… has become synonymous with quirky content and great photography. Every time a new issue of the magazine hits the streets we are humbled by the many calls and messages we receive from delighted readers telling us they have read it from cover to cover! Our favourite came during the pandemic - a heart-warming ‘thank you’ card from a Mrs Garnham in Woodbridge who told us that the magazine kept her from feeling isolated, “it helps to cheer us up in these difficult times,” she wrote. Some of our readers are even collecting the magazines which is hugely flattering. It’s also been archived in a local museum, as a publication which documents our lives and times in this region.

Our advertisers tell us they receive great feedback and often bag new custom from their adverts or editorial. Most take out repeat ads as they know we're so well read. You can find their comments on our Testimonials page.

We hope we've proved that free magazines can deliver everything that paid for titles do - and more! As a team of experienced journalists, award-winning photographers and national magazine designers we go that extra mile in making sure Living In … stands out from the crowd.

Each bi-monthly edition is bursting with home features, quirky stories and feelgood news! We don’t tend to dwell on the bad news (let’s face it, we all need a break from that at the moment!) We love nothing more than celebrating the interesting, creative and entrepreneurial folk who make this lovely part of the world so special.

On this website, you can read digital versions of our latest issues, as well as delve into our archives to find back editions - but there’s so much more. If you want to keep up-to-date with news and events and read lifestyle features from a whole host of inspirational residents, you’re in the right place.
